English Recitation Competition by PrePrimary Wing

9th August’2019

Nursery rhymes are important for pre-primary and kindergarten children. There is a powerful and lasting connection between the children’s early knowledge of nursery rhymes and aspects of their linguistic development later on. Singing nursery rhymes allows all kids—even shy ones—to feel confident about singing, dancing and performing because they are so easy to grasp and fun. They really see the connection between movement, rhythm and words. When reciting poetry students are given the freedom to express feelings to their audience. It is a form of self-expression with the creativity of words and emotion to convey a message to the audience.

The children choose variety of topic for their recitation like tree, rabbit and carrot, flower, london bridge,Traffic light, water drop etc with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. The competition was held in the conference hall of the school where two judges were invited to judge the competition. They were Manisha ma’am and Priti Pillai Ma’am. They appreciated and applauded the performances of the participants and the children enjoyed the competition.
