Raksha Bandhan, also abbreviated to Rakhi, is the Hindu festival that celebrates loving and sharing. It is celebrated on the full moon in the month of Sravana in the lunar calendar. The word Raksha means protection, while Bandhan is the verb to tie. The amulet is known as Raksha Sutra denotes love and affection among siblings but it also signifies the promise to protect.
To commemorated this festival, a ‘Rakhi Decoration Activity’ was organized for the students of Pre- Primary Wing. The students decorated beautiful Rakhis using different articles like silken thread, glitter sheets, ribbon, etc. The children thoroughly enjoyed this activity and were excited to take it home.
