Air force School, Vayusena Nagar organized an educational trip for class 4th and 5th to Central Museum, Nagpur to let the students take part in drawing event organized by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in collaboration with Central Museum, Nagpur.
The importance of taking the students out of the classroom to absorb, interact and be immersed in history, and educational tours, has several learning benefits as the memories of school Educational trips are among the most prominent of the formative years, largely because they are a welcome break in the routine for both students and teachers. While their purpose is essentially to educate, they can also be a fun bonding experience for everyone involved.
The museum established in 1862, which is also often called ‘Ajab Bangla,‘ is one of the oldest museums in Maharashtra. The museum was created by the efforts of Sir Richard Temple, the then chief commissioner of the Nagpur. Here, student explored antiquities from the chalcolithic sites of Sarasvati–Indus and Kaundinyapura excavations, megalithic sarcophagus, stone and copper plate inscriptions, coins of different ages, and metals, etc. Teachers explained them their importance which the students listened attentively. It was a fun filled day to remember.
